About Me

I adopted my yellow lab "Samantha" at the age of 5 months old. At 3 years old she had a stroke in her spine.  The surgeon told me there was a strong possibility that she would not be able to walk again. I found one pool that swam dogs in the area and took her to swim twice weekly to build up her stregnth. After several weeks of swimming, she was once again able to walk!

After experiencing the power of water therapy, I built my pool in order to rehab my own dog. In the meantime I completed a certification course with The Association of Canine Water Therapy in which we worked with over 30 dogs with various conditions. I also completed training for Canine CPR/1st Aide and have become an active member of The International Association of Massage and Bodywork. I have also taken various continuing education classes to broaden my knowledge.

This is heart-centered work for me. Each dog that comes to my pool has specific needs that are taken into consideration while swimming here. My pool is located in a private setting (by appointment only) and sessions are not rushed. The typical session is for 30 minutes, depending on the condition and needs of the dog. I work with referrals from vets, as well as individual dog owners seeking alternative treatments. I also have dogs that just enjoy swimming and come here for fun, exercise and fitness!

My special thanks to Cindy Horsfall for touching my inner spirit and guiding me through this amazing journey!
